Held at the APECS Science Communication and Media Workshop during the Arctic Frontiers Conference 2015. In the presentation, Katrin Leinweber introduces concepts and advantages of audio podcasting with particular regards to the use-cases of scientists. In order to help novices take the hurdle of starting a podcast, she explains several gratis software tools and simple work-flow examples. Finally, audience questions and comments were addressed. Audacity works directly on files, meaning changes/edits are applied directly and in some cases can’t be undone. Therefore, please always make sure that you have a good backup of your raw recording. Additional backups before major edits are also a good idea ;-)
